CRHR Regional Representative

CRHR: National Body for Roller Hockey Referees.

As this position has been created after the election of officers at the ECRHA AGM, we were unable to discuss it at our meeting.

This is a vital role to aid the smooth and professional running of roller hockey within our region and to enable a strong communication between the NRHA, CRHR and ourselves.

For these reasons it is imperative it is filled ASAP.

As this role has to be taken by a referee, please ask all the referees, whichever grade, within your club to give it strong consideration.

This role needs to be filled.

The current ECRHA Exec Committee will of course give any support needed.

Position Description

As regards the role of the regional representative, I consider the core job as;

Acting to and being accountable for increasing the number of referees in their region and nationally, supporting their advancement through the Grades
Nominating to the Referee Assessment Officer a list of Referee Assessors from their Region, for ratification, to oversee Practical Testing for the upgrading accreditations from Provisional to Grade 4 by use of the prescribed official form that then gets submitted to the Referee Assessment Officer.
Finding and motivating candidates for assessment and ensuring Referee Assessors are active and conscientious in performing their duties
Participating in the determination and amendment of the official interpretations of the Rules of the Game
Policing the conduct of referees and match participants
Participating in the adjudication of disciplinary matters and disputes related to matches
Selecting and supporting the Referee Assessment Officer and Referee Appointments Officer in the performance of their duties
