Following past requests, I am delighted to advise that ECRHA are running a First Aid session on Sunday 14 May, 2 – 5pm at Ross Peers, Soham.
The session will be run by Alan Adams who has been in the Ambulance service for 19 years with the clinical grade of Senior Paramedic (job title: Operations Manager and Clinical Field Operations Training Lead). Not only is Alan obviously well medically trained he also has children who play roller hockey so is aware of what our sport involves.
Within the session Alan is hoping to cover the following:
- Head injury/concussion
- An unconscious person
- Diabetic Emergencies
- Limb Injuries
Alan has kindly agreed not to charge for the session but wishes for us to donate to the local Air Ambulance on his behalf. We do, however have to pay for the room hire but can still offer this at a very low cost of £15 per person.
Numbers are limited and spaces can be booked, on a first come first served basis, by emailing Lisa Allander.
Payment must be received before the day.
We are very grateful to Alan for giving up his time to do this. A great opportunity for us to learn from a medical professional, although training we hope we should never need!
