The eastern counties was form at a meeting held in Kings Lynn on the 5th of September 1983

It was decided at this meeting that the East Anglian League would become the Eastern Counties Roller Hockey Association and would include the same region as the Eastern Sports Council

Bedford, Cambridge, Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk

Clubs present were Great Yarmouth, Kings Lynn, Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, 
Whittem and Felixstowe.

The association was formed by Mr Dennis Arthurs.
